- The first Rural Operetta in Bulgaria was played in Dve Mogili. One operetta staging after another have been played on the stage of the community centre for 25 years. The whole village sings and dances. After the operetta "Time for love" in 1961, attended by a group of musicologists, conductors and composers, led by prof. Petko Stainov, he admits: „I have visited a lot of countries around the world, I have seen great performances of operas and operettas, but I haven’t felt shivers going through me at any time. From the natural and beautiful performance at this rural scene I felt those chills."
- A memorial plaque, which attests to the historical event from the autumn of 1908 to the present and future generations, was put on the station in Dve Mogili. With Resolution № 205/24.08.2008 the Municipal Council approved the proposal of a group of students from the national movement "Preserve the Bulgarian" and unanimously decided to perpetuate the significant event, which connects Dve Mogili with the manifest birth of the new Bulgarian country.
In autumn 1908 a government delegation travelling by train from Ruse to the ancient village, led by Alexander Malinov, stopped at the station in Dve Mogili. During their stay, the Prime Minister composed the manifest for the announcement of the independence.
- The icon painter in the Church of the Holy Trinity in Dve Mogili was Tsanyu Zahariev - a painter from Tryavna Icon Painting School. His work were many icons in Razgrad (Church of St. Nicholas - 1863), Tutrakan (Church of St. Nicholas - 1864), Lyaskovets (St. Athanasius - 1864) and in Kongas, Babadag and Kasapkyoy (1864-1865), in Gabrovo (Church of St Mary - 1867), Borisovo, Tetovo, Katselovo, Dve Mogili, Ruse Province, Ruse, Troyan, Silistra, Lesicheri, in Razgrad, Tulchensko and Turnovo.
